What is Vitamin A?
Vitamin A is an essential human nutrient necessary to maintain healthy eyes, immune system, cell production and skin. We get vitamin A from a variety of sources such as liver, fatty fish and eggs. Two of the most common sources of Vitamin A are retinol and beta-carotene. Retinol is sometimes called "true" vitamin A because it is nearly ready for the body to use. Retinyl Palmitate turns into retinol upon absorption into the skin which in turn morph into retinoic acid. It is in acid form that the body can use it effectively. Retinyl Palmitate is a different form of vitamin A and is used as an anti-oxidant. When used topically in skin care, the vitamin actually changes the physiology of the skin to a more youthful appearance and diminishes wrinkles. Palmitate is the major component of palm oil.
FACT:
What is Avocado Oil?
Avocado oil is an edible oil that is often compared to olive oil for its healthy ratio of fats and its regenerative and moisturising properties. The active ingredient in Avocado Oil is a sterolin, or plant steroid, that can reduce age spots, heal sun damage and plump skin cells. It is also valued for its potassium content (known as the youth mineral).
